Amaterasu, human form?by ~varsi

Umm yes. So I decided to enter the Okami contest (I REALLY want to play this game ^.^ so excited). Anyways, I guess I was a bit influenced by the anime Spice and Wolf, in that Horo (the wolf god thing) can take on human form, so I decided to draw a pic of Amaterasu changing into a human form. SO, this took a VERY long time to draw, photoshop elements isn't very friendly with thin black lines, so most of the time went to drawing a line of black and erasing 5/6ths of it directly following...By the time I finished I thought it would just be easier to ink by hand next time, save me some (A LOT) of time. Umm... its firey, cuz I like fire, and it kind of makes the body look like a log, you know drawing from the Earth to take on a bodily form...and I like making figures out of clay, which has to be fired afterwards, so yes, I had my fun. Okay I'm sleepy and I have to go memorize 800+ slides some more for my exam so below is what I made use of, and if you'll excuse me I need to go study till my head falls off for, which is now tomorrow...

-Photoshop Elements 3.0
-I used the okami logo resource, as well as the parchment resource, the latter of which isn't really all that noticable anymore...
-I also used a free stock photo from [link]. (which helped texturize a bit)
-Oh I was looking also at one of Amaterasu's forms from the website for the swirly firey things cuz I figured it should have some reference back to it, although my drawing of it isn't as pretty...but oh wells I'm still happy...

i like this peice alot... i have the game and it rocks!
i think i like this piece because it reminds me of the animation techniques that are in the game...?
idk but i love it!
i kinda wished you used more white though..
but i like it all the same
